Condolences

Condolence From: Brett Nicholas
Condolence: In the 30 years I'd known Bob, he was always a very generous, genuine, and above all humorous person. His sense of humor went largely unchallenged and his willingness to play practical jokes always made living next door to him an adventure. I recall he never missed an opportunity to prank the neighborhood adults whenever the chance arose and to scare the pants off my brother and I, particularly around Halloween with the aid of my late father. Winter was also a great time to be over Bob's as we would sled down the giant hill and he would use me as a human shield during snowball fights; a trick I now use with my sons. His generosity of life knowledge was also always available. I'd learned many things over the years from Bob, many of which still stick with me. He was never too busy to offer the work smarter, not harder solution to whatever the task was. He showed me how to NOT be crushed by a car while swapping a muffler, how to swing golf clubs correctly, and how to NOT fly away into the sea with a stunt kite that could lift a full-grown man (I was maybe 8 years old). His extraordinary gift for organization also sticks with me and the shop in my basement is looking more and more like his. Bob's devotion to Cindy and the life they lived together is something I think we can all envy. As with everything he did, he did it to a full, unwavering degree. He was always fully committed to his goals and would always work hard to achieve whatever he put his energy to. I and my family are thankful to have known him and we will miss him dearly.

Condolence: Dear Cindy,

I am shocked and saddened by Bob's sudden departure from our lives. I'll never forget the encouragement I drew from a conversation we had a couple of years back when, out of the blue, he let me know quite clearly that he had no doubts I would serve the Lions well as President. The faith, confidence, and respect he had in and for his friends and fellows was exemplary, and we'll miss him forevermore when gather.

Condolence: I had the privilege of living next door to Bob and Cindy for fifteen years. Bob was always helpful and good natured the entire time. I have many memories of ongoing pranks between him and my husband and teenage boys. We shared gardening tips and lots of tools. Back in the day we formed a Gourmet Club and had many many great meals and company. Bob treated my two sons like beloved nephews. He was always interested in their growth and accomplishments.. So many wonderful memories! He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Bob.
