Nathan and Donna Wise

It's difficult to imagine a compassionate world without Mary Blough in it. Her passing leaves a void which we now fill with her legacy of devotion to family, and kindness to all living things. She was the personification of the Golden Rule, which seems to have fallen out of fashion in this troubled, war-conflicted world of 2017. Mary and Bob had such a bond of communication and determination that their fierce advocacy for oldest son Robby (a fine young man for whom I was a caregiver for many years, born 12 days before me, in 1950!) insured his safety and health as they gave him a long life of comfort. Mary's other children benefited from their parents' sense of faith and morality, and the incomparable example of their love for one another. The world was a more beautiful place because of her beautiful soul and kindness to others. She and Bob also gave their family a healthy sense of humor, which helped a lot during the tough times. It was a pleasure to be with her and to share her passionate human values, and we send our sadness and fond remembrances to her family and friends. There is a special place in Heaven that is eternally blessed with her generous and loving spirit, which taught us the righteous path in this world of uncertainty. Mary aptly shared the name of the Holy Mother, and her name is inscribed forever in the Book of the Just. Lux et caritas et pax, cara Maria.
