Obituary for Mary Blough (Fauliso)

Mary Blough (Fauliso)
Mary Blough, 87, of Pawcatuck, went to be with the Lord on January 15, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She is pre-deceased by her sons, Robert Anthony and Kevin Michael; as well as her brothers, Frank, Tony, and Lt. Governor Joe Fauliso.

Mary was born on Valentine’s Day, 1929, the daughter of Anthony and Rose Fauliso of Pawcatuck. She was married to Robert T. Blough, her true love, for over 67 years and was a devoted wife to him and mother to their five children.

Mary’s greatest desire was lived out as wife and mother. Mary had a natural instinct for nursing and provided steadfast care for her oldest son throughout his life as well as caring for her own father during his last years. She loved preparing extra special meals, creating needlework, collecting an amazing number of recipes, and making a home for her family.

She leaves her devoted husband Bob; sister Tina Woodall; daughter Rosemary Spiers and her husband Hub; daughter Robyn Rogala and her husband Ron; son David and his wife Cheryl; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.

Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 20, at St. Mary’s Church, Stonington. There is no procession from the funeral home to church. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Pawcatuck.

We are grateful for the love and care she received for over three years at Apple Rehab in Mystic, CT, especially over her last few days.
