Bonnie M. Smith, 61, wife of the late Donald W. Smith, of Main St., Hope Valley, passed away at the Westerly Hospital on Tuesday, May 17, 2011.

Born in Westerly, she was a daughter of the late Hazel and Charles Lanphear Sr., and step-daughter to Joyce Lanphear.

Bonnie enjoyed making crafts and baby hats for local hospitals and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two children, Monica Zarkowski and her husband Edward, and Mason Kenneth; six grandchildren, Robin Cox, Travis and Zachary Zarkowski, and Kelsey, Lacey and Kamron Kenneth; eight siblings, Diana, Charles Jr., Thomas Sr., Stephen, Douglas, Jeremy Sr., Carolyn and Gail and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Bonnie was also predeceased by two brothers, Jerry Jr. and Billy.

Visiting hours are omitted. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday, May 23, 2011 at 12pm noon in Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Burial will be private.
