Obituary for Joan A. Fink (Vadorsky)
Joan A. (Vadorsky) Fink, of May Drive, Westerly, passed away at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence on Monday, December 18, 2017 at the age of 90. She was the wife of the late Francis J. Fink who predeceased her in 2008.
Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Cecilia Vadorsky.
Joan worked as a secretary for URI until her retirement in 1993 and a longtime member of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church. She was a former member of the Westerly Senior Center Songbirds, enjoyed knitting and was an avid cook, baker and gardener.
She leaves her two children, James R. Fink of Westerly and Cynthia C. Camero of Edwardsville, IL; five grandchildren, Alec, Lindsay, Megan, Catharine and Maxine; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by seven siblings, Clarence F., Louis L. and Leonard Vadorsky, Jean B. Haddaway, Pauline M. Hall, Rosella D. Yingling and Betty Scher.
Funeral service and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in charge of the arrangements. For online condolences please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com
