Obituary for Lawrence J. Pietraallo
Lawrence J. Pietraallo, 77, beloved husband of Jo Ann (Crowe) Pietraallo, of Jolly Lane, Westerly, passed away at the Westerly Hospital on Sunday, February 5, 2023.
Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late Peter and Constance Pietraallo.
After graduating WHS, Lawrence went on to serve in the US Air Force. He worked as a supervisor at the former Harris Graphics for 25 years and then a second career at Foxwoods Resort & Casino for many years until his retirement. He was a former member of the Westerly Elks BPOE #678, the Charity Lodge AF&M 23 and the Westerly Yacht Club.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his daughter Bonnie Sposato (Ronnie) of Ashaway; stepson Richard Partelo of Providence; and five siblings, Donna Morrone, Connie Gallo, Gina Pappadia, Patricia Simpson and Anita Morgan. Lawrence is also survived by his two grandchildren, Sean Sposato and Brittany Pietraallo; two great-grandchildren, Dimitri and Arianna; and several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Rocky. He was predeceased by his son Darrin Pietraallo; stepson Keith Partelo; granddaughter Victoria Pietraallo; sister Linda Dessaules; and brother Richard Pietraallo.
Larry enjoyed a good game of Cribbage or Pitch, was an avid boater in his healthy days, and had a love of his home, family, and friends.
Visiting hours will be held at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly on Friday from 10am – 12 noon, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 12 noon in the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital or Westerly Library & Wilcox Park in Lawrence’s memory .
