Obituary for Madeline "Mem" Banker (Crowley)
Madeline “Mem” (Crowley) Banker, of Greenhaven Road, Pawcatuck, passed away surrounded by loving family on Thursday, February 2, 2023. She was the wife of the late Walter T. Banker.
Born in Wequetequock, CT, she was the daughter of the late J. Leo and Catherine Crowley.
Mem was the switchboard supervisor for many years at Westerly Hospital. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Michael Church and she enjoyed camping, horseback riding and horse shows. She also loved boating and family gatherings at the Crowley farmhouse.
She will be dearly missed by her four children, Gene Banker (Nadine), Mike Banker (Mary Ellen), Leo Banker (Cheryl) and Don Banker (Monique); siblings Michael Crowley, Patricia “Pidge” Crowley and Connie Kmetz. Mem also leaves behind eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 9 brothers and sisters.

Visiting hours are omitted. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11am on Tuesday at St. Michael Church, 60 Liberty St., Pawcatuck. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Pawcatuck.
