Obituary for George S Greene Jr.
George S. Greene, Jr., 70, of Hopkinton, RI, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022. He was the loving husband of Kathleen (Davis) Greene and son of the late George and Marie (Mandes) Greene.
Besides his wife Kathy he leaves his sons, Ian (Rebecca) Greene of Westerly and Chad (Nicole) Greene of Cumberland; his stepchildren, Megan (Jessi) Hernandez and Glen Tillinghast; his grandchildren, India, Danica, Isabella, Alexander, Grayson, Thea, Mariah and Akirah; and his siblings, John Greene, Susan (David) Sawtelle, Laura Greene, Augustus (Donna) Greene, Charlie (Sue) Greene, Estelle (Ray) Beaudry and Triscia (Donny) Johnson; along with several nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his siblings, Deborah Roderick, Steven Greene and William Greene.
George enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening, golfing, cooking and watching his grandchildren play sports. George was in the Army and worked at Charberts for many years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly, on Tuesday from 4-6pm. A Funeral Service with Full Military Honors will be held at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 So County Trail, Exeter at 11:30a.m. on Friday, May 26th, 2023.
