Obituary for Phyllis A. Roberts (Cozzolino)
Phyllis A. (Cozzolino) Roberts, beloved wife for 56 years of Charles A. Roberts, of Wampanoag Avenue, Westerly, passed away at Yale New Haven Hospital on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at the age of 81.
Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Filomena Cozzolino. Phyllis graduated from Westerly High School, Class of 1958. She loved growing up on Oak Street and being a part of the Westerly community.
Phyllis was a longtime communicant of Immaculate Conception Church where she enjoyed weekly Adoration visits to the chapel. She also enjoyed cooking and hosting many Christmas Eve dinners. She most loved talking to and spending time with her many close friends and family, especially with her granddaughter Natalie.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two children, Brian M. Roberts and wife Bridget of Providence and Charles “Chuck” Roberts of Westerly; two brothers, Frank “Junie” Cozzolino of Middletown, CT and James Cozzolino of Westerly; and cherished granddaughter Natalie Roberts. Phyllis was predeceased by her brother Angelo “Chick” Cozzolino.
There are no visiting hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am on Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly.
