Ronald E. Waddell, of Robin St., Pawcatuck, passed away at The Westerly Hospital on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the age of 85. He was the husband of the late Arlene (Corneil) Waddell.

Born in Orono, Maine, he was the son of the late Ottie and Eva Waddell.

Ronald worked as a security manager for Electric Boat at Quonset Point for many years until his retirement. He was also an avid sports fan and supporter.

He leaves two daughters, Terry Bates and husband John and Jill Lanphere and husband Steve, all of Pawcatuck; two sisters, Susan Turner and Virginia DeVeau, both of Bangor, ME; five grandchildren, Nicholas (Kathryn) Blanco, Christopher Blanco, Joe (Kayla) Babin, Nicole (Kris) Fisher, and Ross Burgess; as well as eight great-grandchildren, Chase, Cora, JJ, Annabella, Ariya, Grayson, Kaiden and Wesley. Ronald was predeceased by his daughter Lisa Waddell; brother Sonny; and sister Shirley.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 5-7pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Funeral Service will take place at 11am on Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow at River Bend Cemetery, Westerly. For online condolences please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com
