I worked with Ernie in the Poly shop back in the 80's for a couple of years. He was an all around great guy that will be missed. He would always help out anybody that had a question or needed a hand. R.I.P.

My condolences to Ernie and his family. I have great memories of Goose throughout his many years at EB, both inside and outside of work. On the softball field, he was one of the best hitters I've ever played against. He once hit 3 home runs against us, so when he came up the next time he switched over to bat left-handed and proceeded to hit his fourth. In the shipyard, he was one of the hardest working, most dedicated workers I've met. He was always on the job, helping out wherever he was needed. He was a true master at his trade, and he took extreme pride in developing the younger mechanics that were learning from him. We will miss you, Goose.
