Obituary for Albert M. Austin
Albert M. Austin, 43, of Westerly, passed away unexpectedly at The Westerly Hospital on Friday, March 19, 2021.
Born in Westerly, he was the beloved son of Albert L. Austin and the late Darlene Austin of Westerly and Jo Marie and William Howton of Florida.
Albert worked as a shipfitter for Electric Boat in Groton for many years. He was known as a talented artist and an enormous San Francisco 49ers fan. Most of all, he loved attending his children's sporting events and took great pride in cheering them on. He also enjoyed spending time with his beautiful granddaughter, extended family, and close friends.
He will be sadly missed by his parents and three children, Alexander E. Austin of W. Warwick, Gabriel S. and Isabella C. Austin both of Westerly; his granddaughter, Kinsley Austin of W. Warwick, ; as well as five siblings, Christine A. Robbins of Pawcatuck, Earl W. Austin of Georgia, Ashley L. Fitts of Westerly, Jason A. Crudden of Westerly, James E. Crudden, Jr. of New Jersey. As well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Albert’s Life will be held at The Calabrese Club, 28 Pleasant St., Westerly on Thursday, March 25th at 1pm. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in care of the arrangements. For online condolences please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com
