Obituary for Louis J. Blanchard
Louis Joseph Blanchard, Sr., 59, of Liberty St., Pawcatuck, passed away at Yale New Haven Hospital on Tuesday, November 14, 2017.
Born in Westerly, he was a son of the late Everett and Shirley Blanchard.
Louis was an electrician with JDM Electrical for many years. He enjoyed fishing and collecting antiques.
He is survived by his three children, Jennifer A. Bromley (Gregory) and Crystal C. Blanchard, both of Pawcatuck and Louis J. Blanchard, Jr. of Hope Valley; three siblings, Everett Blanchard, Jr., Cynthia Bridgham and Deborah Mercier; three grandchildren; and his beloved companion Joanne Caron of Westerly.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 5-7pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10am at St. Michael Cemetery, Stillman Ave. Ext., Pawcatuck, CT. There is no procession from the funeral home to the cemetery.
