Obituary for Frank "Lefty" Alfiero Jr.
Frank “Lefty” Alfiero, Jr., beloved husband of Catherine (Cillino) Alfiero, of Hillview Drive, Westerly, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the age of 88.
Born in Stonington, he was a son of the late Frank, Sr. and Frances Alfiero.
Lefty worked as an Electrician, retiring from Electric Boat in Groton after many years. He was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.
In addition to his wife Catherine, he leaves three children, Linda Lidestri and husband John, Frank Alfiero, III and wife Suzanne and Cathy Alfiero; a brother Joseph Alfiero; seven grandchildren, Kyle Gaccione, Kate (Ian) Smith, Frank (Josephine) Alfiero, IV, Theresa Alfiero, Andrew Alfiero, and Jeffrey and Jenna Kaplan; two beloved great grandchildren, Clara Catherine and Owen Smith; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by seven siblings, Charles, Anthony, and Rose Alfiero, Margaret Naccarato, Josephine Fiore, Mary Valliere and Anne Mason.
Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly on Thursday at 10am. Burial will be private.
